Fidel and Sons Charter Fishing is a fully equipped fishing and boat rental service located in the heart of the tourist area of South West Nicaragua. Located on the Pacific Coast in the fishing village of Gigante, Fidel and Sons operate three boats from their headquarters. Boat captains are local fishermen with intimate knowledge of the local waters and coastline.

RATES

Fishing – $40/hr with a three hour minimum (4 person limit)

Surfing – $100 per trip with option to travel to more than one break (6 person limit)

Boat Trips – $150 round trip to San Juan del Sur. Trip rates to other locations available upon request. (6 person limit)

FISHING TRIP SERVICES

Fishing trips are offered at hourly rates by Fidel and Sons. The boats are equipped with a canopy for shade and rod holders for trolling. Primary target fish in the area are mackerel, dorado, rooster fish, and sailfish. Trolling rods equipped with Penn trolling reels and artificial baits are used to catch sportfish in the area. Customers can also fish for pargo (red snapper) and other reef fish by jigging around the rock structure, both near shore and off shore. Nicaragua is truly one of the frontier sport fishing spots in the world and the charter fishing industry is just beginning to attract sport fishermen. Up to four persons can be accommodated in the boats for fishing trips.

SURF TRIP SERVICES

Surf trips are also offered by Fidel and Sons. Surf trips start at Gigante and customers can travel to several local surf breaks in the area to find the best surf. Popoyo, Rancho Santana, Panga Drop, Colorado and Manzanilla are just a few of surf breaks in the immediate area. Up to six people can be accommodated in the boats for surf trips.

OTHER BOAT SERVICES

Day boat trips to an Juan del Sur, and other locations along the coast, are also available during daylight hours. Up to six people can be accommodated for day boat trips.
